Networks, Connectivity & Remote Infrastructure

Connect the cameras, crew and production.

Temporary or permanent networking for venues and livestreams. CIS scopes the local video links and the internet connection as separate parts of a dependable production setup.

Camera backhaul

Wired and suitable point-to-point connections between remote camera locations and production.

Production networks

Switching, addressing and separation for cameras, encoders, control devices and other production traffic.

Internet & streaming

Upload requirements, primary connectivity and suitable backup options for the planned stream.

Venue distribution

Connections between stages, press boxes, production spaces and supported distributed video displays.

Cellular capacity planning

RF survey coordination and candidate small-cell or neutral-host locations, with backhaul and power requirements identified for carrier or neutral-host review.

Before equipment is selected

What we plan around.

  • Camera locations and available sightlines
  • Video format, bitrate and latency needs
  • Expected upload and internet availability
  • Power at remote positions
  • Carrier coverage, event load and available backhaul
  • Candidate radio locations, site access and approvals
  • Temporary cable routes and public access
  • Setup, rehearsal and event support scope

Questions about venue & event connectivity

Can a remote camera send video across a venue?

Yes, with suitable transmission equipment and a clear understanding of bandwidth, latency, power and the signal path.

Do you provide the whole video production?

CIS focuses on connectivity and system integration. Camera operation, switching, production staffing and event support are included only when specifically agreed.
