Networks, Connectivity & Remote Infrastructure

Connect the building at the other end.

Extend your network to a detached shop, barn, gate or working area. We assess distance, terrain, power and visibility before choosing a wired or wireless connection.

CIS camera and wireless network equipment mounted on a pole at a remote point on a property

Point-to-point links

A dedicated wireless connection between two locations, selected and aligned for the path and required traffic.

Multiple buildings

Point-to-multipoint planning where one location needs to serve several outbuildings or remote areas.

Remote camera connections

Carry camera video back to the main system, with local switching and appropriate power at the remote location.

Barn & property Wi-Fi

Local access points at the destination so phones, cameras and other devices can use the connection.

Before equipment is selected

What we plan around.

  • Distance and line of sight between endpoints
  • Trees, terrain and seasonal foliage
  • Power at each end of the connection
  • Required video traffic and network use
  • Mounting stability and weather exposure
  • Cable entry, grounding and surge protection

Questions about property & wireless links

Will this work through trees?

Trees and changing foliage can obstruct a radio path. We review the actual route before recommending equipment or promising a connection.

Can a remote area use solar power?

Potentially. A solar-powered installation needs a separate power budget, battery and enclosure assessment for the equipment and site.

Have you built a remote camera connection?

CIS has completed a point-to-point camera installation at a remote field location. See the project overview for the confirmed scope.
