Applications
Industrial & Manufacturing
Connect equipment, controls and operator information around the production process and the people maintaining it.
Typical problems
- Equipment status that is visible only at the machine
- Legacy controls with incomplete backups or documentation
- Disconnected camera, network and production information systems
Common system combinations
Equipment visibility
PLC signals, remote I/O and sensors feed HMI screens, data logging or status displays over a planned production network.
Controls and modernization
PLC and HMI changes, controller troubleshooting, robot-cell interfaces and end-of-arm tooling are assessed against the machine sequence and process.
Connected maintenance
Program archives, server backups and searchable technical documents give the maintenance team a defined place to find system records.
Before equipment
Planning considerations
- Start with programs, I/O lists, drawings and a description of the current sequence.
- Identify environmental exposure, network boundaries, shutdown windows and acceptance checks.
- Agree on rollback, configuration backups and operator handoff. Machine-safety changes require separate engineering and validation.
